Warning! Baguio’s COVID care units reach critical status


The local health services office of Baguio City alerted the public that its capacity to provide care to COVID-19 patients has reached critical status.

City Health Officer Dr. Rowena Galpo reported that all of the five hospitals in the Summer Capital reported more than 85 percent health care utilization rate (HCUR) as of the last week of April.

SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart, Baguio Medical Center and Pines City Doctors Hospital reported 100-percent HCUR while Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) and Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital had 92.31 percent and 96 percent, respectively.
