‘’Wag ninyong niloloko ang ading ko!’ Imee Marcos fumes over sugar imports order

Senator Imee Marcos expressed anger after an order allowing the importation of 300,000 metric tons of sugar was released without the approval of hee brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The North Luzon politiko made the statement in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 11.

“‘Wag ninyong niloloko ang ading ko! The unauthorized and fraudulent use of the Office of the President the justify the importation of sugar is ultimate proof that thick-faced agricultural smugglers are lording it over at the Department of Agriculture (DA),” said Marcos.

“An immediate reshuffle of the DA’s highest officials is urgent to dismantle criminal syndicates within the government,” she added.

Press Secretary Trixie Angeles-Cruz already said the President, who is acting DA chief, did not approve the order earlier posted on the website of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA). It was immediately taken down.

The document was signed by Agriculture Undersecretary Leocadio Sebastian supposedly on behalf of Marcos. Malacañang already denied Marcos approved such an order.
