Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Angelo Barba said discipline is needed if Filipinos want to cut down the amount of single-use plastics being dumped into the environment.
The Ilocos Norte politiko has been pushing for an anti-single-use plastic ordinance in the province.
Last August, he issued a memorandum banning single-use plastics in the Office of the Vice Governor and the Provincial Board.
Barba said single-use plastics not only destroy the environment but also cause floods.
