Ilocos Norte Congresswoman Ria Fariñas urges smokers to quit so they could avoid getting lung cancer.
On Monday, November 25, the politiko said about 160,000 people die every year due to lung cancer, while the disease kills 196 women daily.
“Let’s talk LUNGevity!… Lung cancer kills almost twice as many women as breast cancer and thrice as many men as prostate cancer,” said Fariñas.
“Lung cancer poses a threat to anyone with lungs. The facts above speak volumes. Quit smoking and always protect yourself from secondhand smoking!” she added.
