Unity to the max: Angelo Marcos Barba chairs North Luzon Growth Quadrangle Committee in House

Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Angelo Marcos Barba, cousin of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is the new chairman of the House Committee on the North Luzon Growth Quadrangle.

The North Luzon politiko led the panel’s first organizational meeting last Tuesday, August 2. He urged legislators from the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and the Cordillera Administrative Region to work together in the next three years to ensure the further development of their region. He harped on the need for unity, mirroring the campaign messaging of the President.

“Ngayon ay ang pormal na simula ng ating pagkakaisa—sa mga hamon man o patungo sa tagumpay… As voices of and for the people, we are mandated as elected public servants to do our duty to our constituents whom we owe this honor and responsibility,” said Barba, whose speech was posted on his Facebook page.

“May this gathering be meaningful as we all collectively assess the situation in our hometowns, discuss our legislative agenda, and concretely come up not only with alternatives, but also with solutions, for this urgent and pressing need that the recently concluded disaster has brought and challenged us,” he added.
