The power of social media during times of calamities was once again proven as netizens trend #CagayanNeedsHelpAgain last night amid heavy rains and flash floods caused by Typhoon Maring.
Residents were able to ask for help and rescue by tweeting and posting on other social networking sites.
Eventually, Politikos including Vice President Leni Robredo responded and provided assistance.
I have seen this kind of situation before and I didn’t like the ending. nakakatrauma sobra, kaya pls don’t ignore yung mga need ng tulong from us, Cagayanos. (first 2 pics, from brgy. pantar, parescue po sila pls)#CagayanNeedsHelp#CagayanNeedsHelpAgain#RescuePh pic.twitter.com/l4gGGXOCBT
