Ilocos Norte has recorded seven new cases of the more infectious Delta variant of the coronavirus across seven towns.
This was announced by Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 12.
The politiko said it is even more crucial for Ilocanos to be “extra careful” against COVID-19.
“Good evening, DOH just informed me we have 7 new delta cases in 7 different towns. This is what we’ve been fearing and anticipating all along. This isn’t the same virus we’ve dealt with in the past. Even nationally, regionally, globally, cases are on the rise,” said Manotoc.
“We will continue to exhaust all possible solutions. Let’s be extra careful, take care mga kakailian,” he added.
