Pangasinan 4th District Representative Christopher de Venecia said the legacy of one Pangasinan’s legal luminaries lives on.
The Pangasinan politiko called lawyer Perfecto Fernandez, who was born in San Fabian, a “legal heavyweight.”
De Venecia said Fernandez placed 10th in the 1958 bar examinations.
“He was listed as a United Nations expert and was known to author books on Criminal Procedure, Evidence and Law (1981), Welfare and Social Legislation (1976), and Labor Standards and Welfare Legislation with Camilo Quilason. Subsequently, he also designed the financial facility that sustained the UP Law Center,” he said.
“Atty. Fernandez passed away in the year 2000, but his legacy as a legal heavyweight and prolific author lives on,” he added.
