Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc joked that COVID-19 is all to blame for the wrinkles on his face.
The North Luzon politiko made the quip after Instagram user gjungumarit posted a candid photo of Manotoc while he was being interviewed in front of the capitol.
The governor, however, zeroed in on the signs of aging on his face.
“Wrinkles compliments of COVID,” Manotoc said.
The 36-year-old Manotoc was previously infected with the virus and has been spearheading efforts to curb COVID-19’s impacts on Ilocos Norte.
