Repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) can return home to their residences in Ilocos Norte, Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc said on Thursday, Aug. 5.

According to the Politiko, as long as they complete the mandatory quarantine period, they can enter the province’s border problem-free.

In a press briefing, Manotoc said that Returning overseas Filipinos, including those seeking to enter the province for emergency or humanitarian reasons, are exempted from the rule that bars residents from returning home from Aug. 3 to 15.

Currently, Ilocos Norte is placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), banning entry to the province’s borders to avoid the spread of the virus.
