Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Cagayan Valley region and parts of the Cordilleras and Ilocos Region are anticipated due to a shear line, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.

According to the weather bureau’s bulletin, the shear line is the boundary at which the northeasterly wind flows and the easterlies meet. It also alerted residents to be careful as moderate to strong winds moving northeast will blow over Northern Luzon. This can cause rough coastal waters while moderate to strong winds heading northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters will be felt over the rest of the country.

It added that the minimum temperature is 23.8°C and the maximum temperature is 33.2 °C.
