Benguet Representative Ronald Cosalan said he expects the province to receive P2.9 billion in next year’s annual budget.
The Benguet politiko explained that most of the P2.9 billion will be used for the maintenance of the province’s national roads.
Cosalan said he will leave the maintenance of Benguet’s roads to whoever will succeed him as Benguet lawmaker.
He earlier announced his retirement from politics.
“Benguet is still lucky because we lobbied for the allocation of more funds for the maintenance and continuous development of our national roads because we worked on the opening and concreting of the said roads during the previous administration. We will leave the unfinished task of ensuring the sustained rehabilitation and development of our national roads to our successor,” Cosalan said.
