Baguio City Representative Mark Go joined this year’s cultural Bendian Dance to cap off the celebration of indigenous peoples’ month in his city.
The politiko shared photos of the dance on his Facebook page on Wednesday, October 28.
In his message, Go said the COVID-19 crisis emphasized the need for all Filipinos to stay united regardless of tribe, religion, or culture.
“We need to work together despite all our differences, be it economic, religious or cultural. The pandemic has brought to the fore the need for unity. The welfare and development of our ethnic communities is part of the collective core agenda of the city,” Go said.
“By focusing on this, we have the means to address issues that we have been facing such as poverty inequality and a lack of social justice,” he added.
