Preparing for the worst: DSWD Region 1 readies relief for Dante victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has prepared relief to be distributed to the residents of the Ilocos Region who might be affected by Typhoon Dante.

In a virtual press conference, DSWD disaster response management division chief Maricel Caleja said that they have prepared food packs for 18,936 families for Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

She added that each family food pack contains six kilos of rice, four canned tuna, four canned corned beef, two sardines, five sachets of coffee, and two sachets of a cereal drink, she added.
