Senator Imee Marcos has teamed up with her son, Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, to avoid an onion shortage in their province.
The North Luzon politikos on Friday, January 27, met with farmers and local officials in Ilocos Norte to prevent an agricultural crisis.
On her Instagram post, Marcos said she encouraged the farmers and local officials to strengthen the onion industry to prevent a shortage, which would increase prices.
The country has been dealing with unbelievably priced onions for weeks, with a kilo costing as much as P600 last December.
