Eight Pangasinan municipalities might be included in the 2019 elections watchlist.
The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) said they are monitoring the situations in eight towns before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) officially declare them as elections hotspot.
Senior Inspector Ria Tacderan, PPO provincial information officer, said the eight municipalities have “intense” political rivalries among the candidates,
“We cannot yet name these towns because only Comelec has the authority to declare them,” she said.
Tacderan said additional cops will be deployed in the municipalities once they’re placed under the Comelec watchlist.
