Pinakamainit! Dagupan City registers highest heat index

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has alerted some parts of the country as the easterlies continue to dominate the country’s weather conditions.

Dagupan City registered the highest heat index level today, with temperatures reaching 46 degrees Celsius. Laoag City also experienced a heat index of 41 degrees Celsius on the same day.

PAGASA classifies a heat index level between 41 degrees Celsius and 54 degrees Celsius as “dangerous” due to the high likelihood of heat cramps and heat exhaustion. The heat index is the measurement of how hot it feels when relative humidity is factored in with the actual air temperature.
