It was tough for Ilocos Norte First District Congresswoman Ria Fariñas to go to work on the day NBA superstar Kobe Bryant died on Monday, January 27.
But the politiko still performed her duties as lawmaker. She attended the plenary session on Monday session wearing the color purple, in honor of Bryant’s NBA team the Los Angeles Lakers.
“It was hard to go to work today… So I pulled out the only purple dress I had,” Fariñas said with a sad emoji on Instagram Stories.
Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California in the United States while en route to the basketball game of Bryant’s daughter in a local youth tournament.
