Pangasinan gov’t expresses ‘deepest sympathies’ to kin of killed driver, security aide in Espino ambush
The Pangasinan Provincial Board passed a resolution expressing its “deepest sympathies” to the driver and security aide who died in the ambush of former Governor Amado Espino Jr.
The provincial board approved Provincial Resolutions Number 133-2019 and 134-2019 during its regular session on Monday, September 16.
The resolutions honor the valor shown by PO3 Richard Esguerra and Agapito Cuison for their “bravery and presence of mind in the midst of danger.
Espino and his bodyguards were riding his Toyota Land Cruiser on September 11 when still-unidentified men sprayed the vehicle with bullets.
Espino was injured during the attack, but has now recovered from his wounds.
