Baguio City Congressman Mark Go is happy his pet bill that would extend the service incentive leave of workers from 5 to 10 days will soon pass in the House of Representatives.
The House already approved House Bill Number 1338 on second reading, which means it only needs to be approved on 3rd reading by the lower chamber.
Under Go’s bill, an employee who has rendered at least one year of service would be entitled to 10 days leave with pay.
“Such incentive boosts the morale and satisfaction of employees which are manifested in increased productivity. Leave credit also minimizes the risk of health and safety issues,” said Go.
