Pagasa logs 50 degrees heat index in Dagupan City

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported the highest heat index temperature in Dagupan City, Pangasinan at 50 degrees Celsius on Saturday, April 30.

In its weather bulletin, the weather bureau logged the temperature at 5 p.m. The heat index is the measure of the temperature that a person feels compared to the actual air temperature.

Pagasa also logged above 40 degree-heat index in North Luzon in Aparri (46 degrees) and Laoag (44 degrees).

From March 1 to April 30, the highest heat index was also recorded in Dagupan City at 54ºC on April 22 at 2 p.m., PAGASA said.
