The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) announced the inclusion of a big-ticket irrigation project to benefit local farmers in North Luzon.
On Wednesday, May 24, NIA Administrator Eduardo Guillen said the Ilocos Norte-Ilocos Sur-Abra Irrigation Project (INISAIP), worth P25.7 billion, is now in the pipeline of agriculture and infrastructure project for over 14,000 hectares of farmlands across provinces in Region 1.
“The project was conceived during the time of the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos and said project is now on the go under the current administration,” he said.
