Baguio City Councilor Leandro Yangot Jr said the Juvenile Justice Welfare Council has set aside P10 million for the Summer Capital’s Bahay Pag-asa.
The Baguio politiko earlier requested funding from the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the establishment of the city’s own Bahay Pag-asa.
Yangot said the DOJ is just waiting for a possible site for the construction of the facility.
He also the the establishment of the Bahay Pag-asa will help reform youth offenders in the city.
Yangot added the Bahay Pag-asa will enable the city government to make youth offenders productive members of society.
