Never forget daw! Marcos bust vandalized in Laoag

Sep 7, 2018 @ 14:46

A bust of former dictator Ferdinand Marcos in Laoag City was vandalized by members of the Kabataang Makabayan-Ilocos.

According to a Bulatlat report, the group said the Ilocos Norte politiko did not belong among the province’s heroes at the Heroes Walk.

Kabataang Makabayan-Ilocos said the vandalism was their response to Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos’ earlier statement calling critics to “move on” from the Martial Law issue.

The group said the late dictators’ abuses will never be forgotten.

“This act gives utter proof that the youth and the people have never forgotten the Marcoses’ pillage of the nation’s coffers, violations of human rights, torture, illegal arrests, abuse of power and crimes against the people,” Kabataang Makabayan-Ilocos said.
