Benguet Representative Nestor Fongwan has passed away on December 18.
He was 68.
The Benguet politiko’s son, Nestor Fongwan Jr, announced his father’s death on Facebook.
“My father is now with his creator,” Fongwan Jr said.
Dubbed as the “Action Man,” the elder Fongwan entered politics as a councilor in La Trinidad in 1988.
He then served the capital town as vice mayor and mayor during the succeeding years.
Fongwan was eventually elected governor in 2007 and served until 2016.
