San Juan, La Union Councilor Miguel “Migz” Magsaysay may have conceded, but not without alleging vote-buying against the victor of the vice mayoral race.
The young politiko thanked his supporters on Facebook on May 13 after he lost by a huge margin against Mannix Ortega.
“Maraming salamat po lahat ng nagdasal, nagtiwala, nagsuporta at nagmahal sa akin, saking pamilya at sa Team San Juan. It was a pleasure serving you for 6 years as your Number 1 Councilor. Ako’y nagpapasalamat at binigyan niyo ako ng pagkakataon na paglingkuran kayo,” said Magsaysay.
“I will not walk to a different path as I know God has a better plan for my life. Mamimiss ko kayo, pero alamin niyo that my heart will always be with you San Juan,” he added.
But the juiciest part of his message were the hashtags he used at the end of the post: “#NoToVoteBuyingTilTheEnd
#BrgySanJuanCityOfSanFernando” with a sad emoji.
Magsaysay only got 5,979 votes while Ortega had a commanding victory with 14,142 votes.
