Eyes on the prize for Bongbong Marcos?
The only son of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos Sr. credited his supporters for his “good showing” in recent surveys ranking possible presidential candidates for the 2022 elections.
In his vlog on Saturday, January 9, the Ilocano politiko acknowledged his high ranking in the surveys. The latest Pulse Asia survey released in December 2020 had shown Marcos ranking second among the list of possible presidential bets along with Senator Grace Poe, with both just behind the “frontrunner,” Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio
Still, Marcos said he is hoping his election protest against Vice President Leni Robredo, who edged him by just over 200,000 in 2016, would finally be resolved this year. He would then be ready for whatever political landscape would happen in 2022.
