Naduwag daw! Bongbong Marcos questions Robredo’s sincerity after refusing to sign joint manifestation

The camp of former senator Bongbong Marcos questioned Vice President Leni Robredo’s sincerity to expedite the pace of the Ilocos Norte poltiiko’s electoral protest.

Marcos’ lawyer Vic Rodriguez said Robredo really had no intention of withdrawing her “pending motions” before the Supreme Court, because she did not sign their joint manifestation.

“A joint manifestation is a major pleading and it cannot be done through counsel alone. It should also be signed by the client because it needs his or her conformity,” Rodriguez said.

But Robredo’s lawyer Romulo Macalintal said he waited for Marcos at a restaurant in Malate but he did not show up.

Macalintal also said Marcos “sent a wrong pleading entitled a ‘Joint Manifestation.’”

He said a joint manifestation is different from a joint motion.

But Rodriguez said Robredo went back on her word.

“It shows lack of good faith. Bakit sila umatras (Why did they go back on their word)?” he added.
