The Mountain Province government has distributed 7,000 day-old chicks to 380 families affected by Typhoons Ompong and Rosita last year.
Aside from the chick dispersal project, beneficiaries were also given booster feeds.
The project is meant to augment the beneficiaries’ livelihood.
Acting Mountain Province Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr. said the project was funded by the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRM) Office.
Lacwasan said P700,000 was allocated for the project.
“The chick dispersal is an aid from the provincial government for you to also help yourselves. It is your duty to develop it,” Provincial Veterinarian Rodelio Bagawi said.
