Narvacan Mayor Chavit Singson on October 16 led the groundbreaking ceremony of the country’s first shared cell tower in Caoayan.
The Ilocos Sur politiko’s LCS Holdings Inc. and Thailand’s UA Withya PCL will build the tower that is expected to be operational in just a few months.
Singson said he is committed to improve telecommunications services in the country.
“True to our commitment, we are also concentrating our efforts on prioritizing the deployment of our common towers in regional and rural areas,” he said.
“We believe, in months to come, we would be able to narrow the gaps of the quality of the mobile services between those in the metro areas and those in the regional and rural areas,” Singson added.
