Mayor Salda: La Trinidad won’t meet tax revenue projection for 2020


La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda said the municipal government will fall short of its tax revenue targets for 2020.

The Benguet politiko explained that the coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic has forced many businesses to shut down.

Salda also said the municipal government’s budget has been used up for pandemic relief efforts.

In response, he said the municipal government opted to proposed a reduced budget for 2021.

Salda said the proposed budget for 2021 is only P484 million compared to 2020’s P500 million.
