La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda said the municipal government will conduct consultations on the proposed creation of the Baguio-La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba-Tublay Development Authority (BLISTTDA).
The consultations will be conducted on January 3 at the La Trinidad Municipal Hall.
The development comes after former La Trinidad mayor Edna Tabanda said Benguet’s local politikos are expected to withdraw their support for the BLISTTDA if no consultations will be done.
Salda said the consultations will be open to all stakeholders of the municipality.
“We want to involve our constituents in formalizing our stand on the creation of the BLISTTDA by getting the sentiments of our people so that we will not be blamed once there will be serious repercussions to the municipality once the proposed bill will be enacted into a law in the coming years,” Salda said.
