La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda said the proposed ban on the entry of inter-municipal jeepneys into Baguio’s central business district needs “serious study.”
The Benguet said the same proposal was already tried before but it was found to be impractical.
Salda said proposals to address Baguio’s traffic congestion woes should also include how they will affect the Summer Capital’s adjacent towns.
“There is a need to seriously study the serious implication of the proposed traffic scheme to the people of the BLISTT localities,” he explained.
“We should be formulating strategies, programs, projects and activities that will be beneficial to the people of the member localities and not for a single area alone,” Salda added.
