Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said he will not recommend the easing of quarantine measures in the Summer Capital in the next few weeks.
The Baguio politiko explained the number of coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases in other neighboring regions continue to rise.
“The modified general community quarantine in Baguio may still take about two more weeks or maybe even longer,” Magalong said.
He said some COVID19 patients in neighboring areas were found to have been in contact with Baguio residents.
“So, even if those infected are not from Baguio, the city is still heavily affected,” Magalong said.
