Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has warned informal settlers at the Baguio Dairy Farm to leave before he is forced to order the demolition of their structures.
The Baguio politiko has ordered the City Social Welfare and Development Office to inform the informal settlers of the upcoming implementation of two major projects at the Dariy Farm.
A waste-to-energy project and a south-bound bus terminal will soon rise in the 8-hectare property given by the Department of Agriculture to the city government.
Magalong said that qualified informal settlers will be hired by the two projects once they leave the area.
But he lamented that they are not qualified to be given a relocation site under exisiting laws.
