Mayor Magalong to allow public tranpo to Cordillera provinces during GCQ

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said he is inclined to allow out-bound public transportation to other parts of Cordillera once general community quarantine (GCQ) is declared in the Summer Capital.

But the Baguio politiko said he will still restrict public transportation going to Ifugao because of the prevailing coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases there.

Magalong, meanwhile, said other provinces are already “clean.”

Apayao, Mountain Province, and Kalinga recorded zero COVID19 case since the declaration of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Magalong said once given the go signal, he will ensure that public transportation will comply with Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) guidelines.
