Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the proposed development of the Summer Capital’s public market needs at least P2.5 billion.
The Baguio politiko said he wants the public market to be one of the most modern markets not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia.
The proposed rehabilitation of the public market will also include the Magsaysay Complex.
Magalong explained that the city government will have extensive consultations with stakeholders for the project.
He said the rehab can be done in phases depending on the availability of the funds.
