Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the second week of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon will be crucial.
The Baguio politiko said residents will have more difficulty getting food as the ECQ goes on.
“Baka gutom na tao by that time,” he said.
The city government has already used P2.5 million from Baguio’s P29-million quick response fund (QRF).
The fund released was used by the Summer Capital’s 128 barangay chairpersons to distribute food to the city’s poorest of the poor.
“That is good only for three days for a family of five,” Magalong said.
“Soon, we need to augment that,” he added.
