Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said that there will no longer be any construction activities within the Maharlika Livelihood Complex until its issues with the Department of Agriculture (DA) are resolved.
The Maharlika Livelihood Complex is currently under DA subsidiary Human Settlements Development Corporation.
The city government earlier stopped the construction of a mezzanine in the complex because it did not have the necessary permits.
Magalong said DA Secretary William Dar will iron out the issues with the building first so that the turnover to the city government will proceed smoothly.
The city government is set to take over the management of Maharlika in 2025.
