Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong on May 27 said the Summer Capital’s additional molecular laboratories may be operational in two to three months.
The Baguio politiko said the new testing labs will augment the city’s coronavirus disease (COVID19) testing capabilities.
“From 600-700 a day, we could do some 1,000 tests a day,” Magalong said.
COVID19 National Task Force Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr earlier gave his commitment to give additional molecular laboratories to the Summer Capital.
Galvez also said the national government will give Baguio a Reverse Transmission Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) machine, an automated extraction machine, and a bio-security cabinet.
