Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the Summer Capital’s CCTVs will soon have facial recognition capabilities.
The Baguio politiko made the statement during his speech on his first 100 days in office.
Magalong said Malacañang has already approved the P200-million budget needed for Baguio’s new command center.
He said the command center will be powered by geographical information system (GIS)-powered technologies.
“With GIS-powered technologies, police personnel will have a clear vision of the exact location of the crime site or the location of a caller reporting an incident,” Magalong said.
“This would mean quick dispatch and quick response on the part of our policemen, or even our firemen,” he added.
