Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong is eyeing the establishment of a P25-million isolation center at Aurora Hill.
The proposed project will be located in a 300-square meter area within Bayan Park.
The three-storey isolation center will be converted into a health center once the coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic is over.
Magalong said Aurora Hill health officers told him that there is a need for a bigger isolation facility in the area to better respond to the increasing number of patients.
Currently, the city government has earmarked P10 million for the project.
Another P8 million will come from the barangays in Aurora Hill.
The rest of the funds will still be sourced out from other government agencies.
