Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the Summer Capital has a high testing capacity for the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
The Baguio politiko made the remark after the OCTA Research group identified Baguio, Lucena, Makati, and Mandaluyong as high risk areas because of spikes in COVID19 cases.
“We have a total of 59,392 RT-PCR and 6,000 Antigen tests as against our population of 370,000. And of course the higher the number of tests, the more we are able to identify the cases,” Magalong said.
He also said the city government’s contact tracing efforts is very efficient.
“We are looking for the cases. We are seeking them out through expanded testing and contact tracing so it follows that the number of cases will increase,” he said.
