Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the Summer Capital will need at least P15 million for its hosting of the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) sports meet next February.
The Baguio politiko said P13.9 million will be used for the logistics of CARAA while P1.1 million will be used as contingency fund.
But Magalong said the budget for CARAA was not included in the proposed budget for 2020.
He said the Department of Education (DepEd) announced that Baguio will be hosting CARAA after his office finished preparing the 2020 budget proposal.
Magalong called on the private sector to partner with the city government to ensure the successful hosting of the sports meet.
