Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong called on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to give a report on the true state of illegal drugs in the Summer Capital and the rest of the Cordillera.
The Baguio politiko said this will enable local governments to create fact-based anti-illegal drug campaigns.
Magalong made the remark after questioning the report of the PDEA Cordillera office that said that only 15 barangays in Baguio are affected by illegal drugs.
He explained that barangay officials and even anti-illegal drugs officials dispute the report.
Magalong said the city government will intensify its anti-illegal drugs operations by providing P5 million to the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC).
