Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong lamented how less than 1% of local government units (LGU) in the country have contact tracing capability.
The Baguio politiko, who was made “contact tracing czar,” made the remark during a briefing in Malacañang.
Magalong said a diagnostic survey reported that only 0.068% of LGUs have contact tracing capability.
“Nakakalungkot lang po na talagang napakababa po ng ating contact tracing. 0.068 percent from 600 plus na nag-respond ay talagang meron silang established na contact-tracing capability,” he said.
Magalong has been going around the country to hold contact tracing trainings.
“As of this date, ang nabisita na nating lugar sa iba’t ibang regions sa buong bansa ay six regions,” he said.
