Dagupan City Mayor Brian Lim said fish vendors are now required to undergo rapid testing for the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
This after a fish vendor tested positive for COVID19.
The Dagupan politiko warned that vendors who refuse to take rapid tests will not be allowed to do business.
“The City Health Office will set up a triage. When the fish market re-opens on Friday (September 11), traders, buyers, consignacion operators entering the area will have to undergo a rapid test unless they can show a negative result of a rapid test they underwent in the past two weeks,” Lim said.
“They will be allowed to enter (the market) if the result is negative,” he added.
