Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero said the city is set be placed under a 14-day enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Tabuk’s Inter-Agency Task Force on the coronavirus disease (IATF COVID19) earlier approved the City Health Office’s recommendation to place the city under ECQ.
Under the recommendation, Tabuk will be under ECQ starting January 24 or early morning of January 25.
Estrañero said the ECQ recommendation has been forwarded to the Provincial IATF for evaluation.
“As of today, we have almost 200 active COVID19 cases and there are yet a couple of a hundred samples awaiting results and more are expected to come in as the movement of our people are dangerously unmitigated due to the lack of discipline to some, the non- belief to the virus of some and to the total indifference of many kakailyans,” he said.
