Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero said quarantine facilities for overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Metro Manila might be contaminated by the dreaded coronavirus.
The Tabuk politiko made the remark after two returning OFWs tested positive for COVID19 when they arrived in the city.
Estrañero said both OFWs supposedly tested negative when tested in Metro Manila.
He said he already talked to regional health officials about the issue.
“We are puzzled at what happened to our returning OFWs that is why the health department must look into the said instances because what happened to our returning OFWs might happen to others from other places in the country,” Estrañero said.
