Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero on August 11 has declared a lockdown on Silao Street in Purok 2, Bulanao after a string of coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases there.

The Tabuk politiko said the area is a “critical zone” after the COVID19 cases were linked to a religious group there.

There are currently seven confirmed COVDI19 cases linked to the religious group.

Among the confirmed cases are five pastors, a 55-year old woman, and 7-year old boy.

Estrañero also ordered a stricter implementation of social distancing protocols in the city.
